We are running a DL205 PLC and I have been working on this machine for months. With that, the program was created by someone else and I have been trouble shooting it ever since as so many things are not right. It is a great learning experience, but I am almost to the point where the program simply needs to be rewritten.

So here it goes: First is in the shift register as required there are three rungs that are controlling it: one to initiate it, one to shift it, and one to reset it. I have searched in the PLC as well as the HMI and nothing. At this point the only thing that I have hypothesized was that every new day it resets. Second is also related to the shift register. I have output their status to the HMI and I can see what the PLC is thinking as far as what is in what position.

With that, there is one position that simply never changes status even though every one before and every one after will change as it should. So with that the range is C350-C377 and at position C360--- the status never changes. The C360 value is used only in one place in the program and with that it is right next to C361/2/3 and those will change, but never the C360.
